K. PETER YU, P.E.

K. Peter Yu, P.E. has over 40 years of experience in civil/geotechnical engineering and management. Mr. Yu founded YU & Associates after working 18 years as a professional engineer in the civil engineering industry. His experience encompasses a wide range of projects for clients in the public and private sectors. His projects include transportation, education, healthcare and mixed-use facilities, site development, waterfront development, residential and commercial building developments, marinas and seawalls, dams and embankments. Several of his projects are recipients of ACEC Engineering Excellence Awards.

At YU & Associates, Mr. Yu oversees the operation and sets the direction of the firm. He strives for technical excellence, professional ethics and service responsiveness. He gets hands-on practice in projects, and he pushes for unique and innovative application of engineering principles in meeting project challenges and fulfilling clients’ needs. In recognition of his professional achievements, Mr. Yu has been honored by government, civic and business organizations for various outstanding achievements, such as Outstanding Performance and Service to the US Department of Transportation, the Outstanding 50 Asian Americans, and the Outstanding Achievement in Entrepreneurship.
