Andrew Jackson Gardens

The Housing Authority of the City Hoboken undertook a long term project to provide site improvements and security upgrades for the Andrew Jackson Gardens Housing Complex. As part of the design team YU & Associates (YU) provided site/civil engineering services for the upgrades and the new construction. The overall plan included the construction of a new private access drive through the complex, a new mail and security facility, manager’s buildings, new baseball field, utility improvements, new landscape and streetscape. The improvements provided beautification to the streetscape of the complex creating a safer environment for the residents. YU’s services included site design, utility design, Stromwater management, subsurface investigations, geotechnical engineering, permitting, and site inspection for the mail/security office. In addition YU is provided construction administration services for the new baseball field and parking lot.
