Assumption Center

The College of Saint Elizabeth, a Catholic liberal arts college is situated on a 200 acre parcel of land that has sloping terrain, wooded areas and two natural ponds. While beautiful in nature, development is challenging due to the sites topography. The College of Saint Elizabeth retained a design team for a new 566 seat multi-use performing arts center on campus. As part of this project, YU & Associates (YU) was retained to develop the final site plan designs for arts center and new parking areas. The design was planned to minimize disturbance of the College grounds while incorporating new storm water management facilities. In addition the new performing arts theater required modification of existing parking areas to improve both vehicular and pedestrian access to the new center.
