YU & Associates (YU) serving as an environmental subconsultant to Jacob Feinberg Katz & Michaeli Consulting Group, LLC (JFK&M), completed asbestos and hazardous materials investigation, report and abatement design services at City College of NY, Shepard Hall to facilitate the Fire Smoke Dampers Modifications Project.
YU performed a limited pre-renovation asbestos containing materials (ACM), lead-based-paint (LBP) and other hazardous materials investigation of the mechanical, electrical, plumbing and architectural systems located on all floors from Basement to the Roof which will potentially be impacted by the scope of work.
The investigation was performed in accordance with USEPA, AHERA, NYS DOH, and NYC DEP regulations. A limited survey report is provided summarizing the results of the investigation. Based on report findings, design plans, specifications and cost estimate were developed by YU for abatement work associated with renovation activities.
