Croton-Harmon Maintenance Facility Replacement

The Metro North’s Croton-Harmon Maintenance Facility was replaced / upgraded to increase the efficiency of fleet maintenance and servicing to support the future expansion of the passenger fleet operations. The work involved a complete yard layout, construction of an Employee Overpass, new high-mast light poles and new site electrical service. The work was performed without impacting the existing yard operations and train movements.

YU & Associates, Inc. (YU) was retained to develop and perform a subsurface investigation and subsequent laboratory testing program. YU also performed evaluation of field and laboratory data to develop design recommendations for the proposed construction. Upon completion of investigation and testing, a geotechnical report was prepared to present findings, evaluation and recommendations.
