In order to better serve the students, Kean University constructed a 8,200 SF addition to Downs Hall to house Campus Security offices. YU & Associates (YU) was retained to perform Site Engineering, Geotechnical Investigation Study and obtain the necessary Regulatory Approvals for the project. The site design involved extensive coordination of utilities, design of a new storm sewer and the connection to a 72-inch brick sewer. YU performed subsurface investigation, prepared site plans, construction documents, engineer’s cost estimates, and assisted the owner in the bid process. During construction, YU was hired by the owner to perform engineering inspection and provide geotechnical support.
