Ford-Leonard Tower

Ford-Leonard Tower is a several decades old public senior citizens housing facility in the City of Elizabeth. Through age and lack of maintenance, the site amenities had deteriorated to a point where a major effort was required to make them functional and attractive for the future.

Working closely with project landscape architect, YU prepared site details and specifications for the required work on the drainage system, walkways and parking lot. The challenge was to design a parking lot reconstruction which preserved the sub base to the maximum in order to best stretch the available funds. This allowed for funds to remain in the budget to implement the desired landscape improvements.
