Interstate 295 and Route 38 Improvement

The New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) is proposing improvements to the I-295/Route 38 Interchange and the surrounding local roadway system in Mount Laurel and Moorestown Townships, Burlington County. YU & Associates, Inc. (YU) was primarily responsible for executing the geotechnical exploration program. YU prepared the boring location plan, developed drilling specifications and bid documents, and evaluated the boring subcontractor bids.

This subsurface investigation comprised about 45 borings and associated laboratory testing. Data generated as part of this investigation was managed using gINT, an advanced data base software application, to produce electronic logs and generate soil profiles. This system saved hours of manual data compilation and provided an information center for all users.
