Montclair State University Parking Management

Montclair State University is New Jersey’s largest teaching university and the second largest educational institution in the state. Encompassing 200 acres, the University has embarked on a major capital construction program of new facilities including rehabilitation of parking lots for 3,000 cars and adding new campus parking to improve student and staff services. YU & Associates (YU) has been working on numerous projects relating to overall parking management. In 2001, YU designed and oversaw the construction of a 120 space parking lot. YU was retained in May of 2002 to perform a feasibility study for possible parking lot construction on fourteen campus sites totaling an additional 1,000 new spaces. Also, in May of 2002, YU began the preparation of construction documents for a campus wide resurfacing project. YU continued to work on the project throughout construction in the role of Resident Engineer for the University.
