The new PS 276M is situated in the Battery Park City district of Manhattan, New York. The 24,825 SF urban lot is a vacant space used for parking and temporary construction buildings. The New York City School Construction Authority (NYCSCA) retained a design team for a new 8-story school building. As part of this project, YU Associates, Inc. (YU) was retained by Dattner Architects for the utility design and to obtain the necessary regulatory approvals. The utility design includes utility plans and construction details. Regulatory approvals included utility connection approval from New York City Department of Environmental Protection and construction permit from New York Department of Buildings.
