YU & Associates, Inc. (YU) was retained to perform a full pre-demolition asbestos containing materials (ACM), lead-based-paint (LBP) and other hazardous materials investigation of the three buildings (West, East and North), campus site/courtyard and E25th Street Pedestrian Bridge. The West Building has 10 floors, the East Building has 6 floors, and the North Building has 14 floors.
The investigation was performed in accordance with USEPA, AHERA, NYS DOH, and NYC DEP regulations and included a full survey of interior spaces, accessible of all exterior elevations and roofs. A full survey report is provided summarizing the results of the investigation. Based on report findings, an abatement design including plans and specifications will be developed by YU for early action abatement work associated with demolition activities.
